I realised that using normal 12hr clocks and toy cogs produced interesting images but wasn’t going to be a reliable enough method of capturing the night. The discovery of 24hr clocks changed everything. The Mark II Time-Lapse Pinhole Camera came into fruition around mid 2009 and worked in a similar way to the Mark I in that the film canister was attached to the side of the clock. I tested uncovered (indoor-use) versions and nextbox protected (outdoor-use) versions, although I never used the Mark II in any serious projects.
