I was selected to participate in the FORMAT 11 International Photography Festival in Derby in 2011, and was commissioned to produce a new body of work. My contribution to the festival was a series of photographs entitled A Month Of Nights, Derby, which were made using Mark III Time-Lapse Pinhole Cameras.
The photographs were shown at Pickford’s House Museum of Georgian Life, a forgotten gem of a museum just outside Derby city centre ring road. The house is a re-creation of a Georgian Architect’s household which also hosts the odd contemporary art exhibition. It’s impossible not to be won over by its quirky charms.
A short text on the project can be read here.
I also produced a small short-run publication A Month Of Nights, Derby. Photographs by Anthony Carr documenting all aspects of the project. Click here for more details.
